Brampton, Canada - June 6, 2020 /PressCable/ —

Many small and mid-size businesses misunderstand the kinds of year end financial engagements and their purposes. Chartered Professional Accountant M W Mirza does its part to break these down and how their office can help these needs be met.

As a company’s chartered professional accountant, M W Mirza takes its responsibility to help its client obey all laws when it comes to financial reporting obligations, along with successful financial management which allows healthy growth. One area that often raises questions are the three types of common financial engagements. In an effort to provide more clarity MW Mirza recently described these in detail article on its informative website blog:

“It can be important to understand the different kind of financial engagements, especially if one occurs,” commented a spokesperson from M W Mirza. “Of course we are happy to handle any of these concerns for clients in Brampton and Greater Toronto Area and to do everything possible for them to go as smoothly as possible when necessary.”

M W Mirza explains that Compilation Engagements are not subject to any presentation or disclosure requirements and are used when the readers of the financial statements are limited to the entrepreneur and the taxing authority.

Review Engagements are used when an attempt is made to borrow from a lender and they need a look at the company’s financials to make their decision on whether to approve a loan and for what size it should be. This provides an independent review of finances and can sometimes be required by a regulatory body.

Finally, an Audit Engagement is aimed at enabling the independent public accountant to issue an opinion on the fairness of the client’s financial statements. The audit’s goal is to provide “reasonable assurance” that the financial statements are honest and upfront, free of material misstatement.

Soleimani, a general who became Iran icon by targeting US

Jul 9, 2020

TEHRAN, Iran — For Iranians whose icons since the Islamic Revolution have been stern-faced clergy, Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani widely represented a figure of national resilience in the face of four decades of U.S. pressure. For the U.S. and Israel, he was a shadowy figure in command of Iran's proxy forces, responsible for fighters in Syria backing President Bashar Assad and for the deaths of American troops in Iraq. Solemani survived the horror of Iran’s long war in the 1980s with Iraq to take control of the Revolutionary Guard’s elite Quds Force, responsible for the Islamic Republic’s foreign campaigns. Relatively...

Innovative fashion designers lead the way on sustainability

Jul 9, 2020

LONDON — Innovative fashion designers are turning to such things as horseradish and nettles to make sustainable clothing and accessories to the delight of a growing number of buyers. While more consumers are paying closer attention to how the production of goods impacts the environment, old habits die hard. A buy-and-toss mentality persists despite a boost from celebrities helping to drive the upcycle and vintage movements. Actress Maggie Q, who created an activewear line from recycled fabrics, is among activists who see plenty of room for improvement. She says she feels "sick about fast fashion.'' "You hear people say, 'Well,...

Streep, Miranda and Stone are named as Met Gala co-0chairs

Jul 9, 2020

NEW YORK — Next year's Met Gala may be the closest we'll ever come to getting a Miranda Priestly moment at the starry event. Meryl Streep has been named as a co-chair of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. The Oscar-winner played Priestly, a thinly veiled fictional version of Vogue editor Anna Wintour, in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada." Wintour clearly has no hard feelings because she selected Streep as a co-chair along with Lin-Manuel Miranda and fellow Oscar-winner Emma Stone. Designer Nicolas Ghesquiere rounds out the group. The gala's theme is "About Time: Fashion and Duration," which...

Mexico farm town prepares funerals after 9 Americans slain

Jul 9, 2020

LA MORA, Mexico — Under a strong security presence, this remote farming community prepared to hold the first funerals Thursday for some of the nine American women and children killed by drug cartel gunmen. Dozens of high-riding pickups and SUVS, many with U.S. license plates from as far away as North Dakota, bumped across dirt and rock roads over desert, arid grasslands and pine-covered mountains Wednesday as night fell on this community of about 300 people. Many of the residents are dual U.S. and Mexican citizens who consider themselves Mormon but are not affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ...

Wisconsin Senate to vote on firing agriculture secretary

Jul 9, 2020

MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin's Republican-controlled Senate prepared Tuesday to fire the state agriculture secretary appointed by Democratic Gov. Tony Evers, the latest in a series of skirmishes between the governor and the GOP that comes as Wisconsin is losing dairy farmers at a record pace. Republicans and Evers have been fighting since before Evers even took office. Republicans convened a lame-duck session to pass laws weakening Evers' power in December. This summer, Evers used his expansive veto to reshape the GOP-passed state budget, resulting in attempts in court and through a constitutional amendment to weaken his veto authority. And on...
