The Unfinished Puzzle is a deep, eye-opening devotional that launches Tuesday, March 13th and Wednesday, the 14th. The ebook will be free during this time on Amazon.com: http://a.co/3rFPwYi.

The Unfinished Puzzle is a 50-day devotional which will take you on a personal journey and strengthen your friendship with your Creator.

This unique book shows authentic life stories tied in with scripture to show how God is a true friend rather than the sometimes portrayed enforcer we see Him as.

As life is compared to a puzzle which we often get frustrated with, we are able to see how God perhaps does his best work in the midst of our storms through raw, real-life analogies throughout the devotional.

Author Ashley Alice White of Maine is only 22, but she is full of wisdom and sees life differently. Her travels to places like Haiti and England shine through in her stories, and she dreams of traveling to many more places.

“My father was and is a pastor, which means I grew up in churches and learned about Jesus at a very young age. I’ve always believed in Jesus and knew Him, but I never knew Him as a friend, a father and a protector, until I went on my own journey,” Ashley says.

Ashley relates with her readers, and as you read this book, you will feel as though you are reading a letter from your best friend. Ashley has had her share of struggles, especially when she was diagnosed with auto immune disease.

“Each time I worked on this book, I had different emotions and situations going on in my life that were not easy, but sometimes they were really happy. I’ve been extremely sick where I couldn’t see a glimpse of light and the only thing I could do was trust in God, completely, for the unimaginable to happen. I’ve been heartbroken and depressed as well as anxious and nervous,” says the author.

EU imposes tariffs on US peanuts, motorcycles and whiskey

Jun 22, 2018

BRUSSELS — The European Union started enforcing tariffs Friday on American imports like bourbon, peanut butter and orange juice, part of a growing global trade rift that's likely to intensify over the next few weeks. The EU tariffs on $3.4 billion worth of U.S. products are in retaliation for duties the Trump administration has imposed on European steel and aluminum. The EU trade commissioner has acknowledged that the EU targeted some iconic American items to put political pressure on U.S. President Donald Trump and senior U.S. politicians. European Commission spokesman Alexander Winterstein said the EU's response is proportionate and reasonable....

Mexico opium poppy growers see price drop, turn to marijuana

Jun 22, 2018

TENANTLA, Mexico — Opium poppy growers in southern Mexico who helped fuel the U.S. heroin epidemic say prices for their product have been driven so low — apparently by the use of synthetic opioids like fentanyl — that they are turning in desperation back to another crop they know well: marijuana. Beset by poverty and joblessness, farmers in the hills around the Guerrero state hamlets of Tenantla and Amatitlan say that prices for opium paste — which oozes from the bulbs of poppies after they're cut — have fallen so low they don't even pay for the cost of planting,...

Trump jabbed first, and now world hits back in trade fight

Jun 22, 2018

WASHINGTON — The United States attacked first, imposing tariffs on steel and aluminum from around the globe and threatening to hit tens of billions of dollars in Chinese products. Now, the world is punching back. The European Union is set Friday to slap tariffs on $3.4 billion in American products, from whiskey and motorcycles to peanuts and cranberries. India and Turkey have already targeted U.S. products, ranging from rice to autos to sunscreen. And the highest-stakes fight still looms: In two weeks, the United States is to start taxing $34 billion in Chinese goods. Beijing has vowed to immediately retaliate...

Imprisoned Bahrain opposition leader acquitted in spy case

Jun 22, 2018

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — A prominent Shiite cleric in Bahrain who led a now-shuttered opposition party was acquitted Thursday of spying charges with two colleagues, marking a rare victory for activists in the island kingdom amid a yearslong clampdown on dissent. Sheikh Ali Salman headed the Al-Wefaq political party, the largest Shiite opposition group in the kingdom, and served as a central figure in Bahrain's 2011 Arab Spring protests. A lawyer previously involved with Salman's case, Abdulla al-Shamlawi, said the cleric would be released in December after he finished serving some four years in prison in another case widely...
